Our team

I am a clinical prescribing pharmacist at Vital Boost X. I have been born and raised in Blackburn, Lancashire and studied Pharmacy (MPharm) at the University Of Central Lancashire. I then went onto work at North Manchester General Hospital from 2015, developing my skills and knowledge in the pharmaceutical field and went onto become an Independent Prescriber in Type Two Diabetes. This involved initiating, managing patient’s regular medications and becoming actively involved in injectable insulins, GLP-1 injectables and tablets. Additionally, carrying out Structured Medication Reviews on a wide range of clinical conditions, i.e. Asthma, Hypertension, Mental Health, Hypercholesterolaemia, Heart Failure, Coronary Heart Disease, Migraines and High-Risk Drugs etc.

In addition, I have worked for several multi-national community pharmacy branches as a Locum Pharmacist across the North West, Royal Preston Hospital and several GP surgeries in the Blackburn/Preston/Blackpool Areas. Furthermore, to develop my expertise and clinical learning, I completed the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway, which has allowed me to gain an exemplary range of skills when working in the Primary Care sector.

I graduated in 1996 from Aston University and qualified as pharmacist in 1997 after completing my pre-registration with Safeway Pharmacy. Following this I have spent many years working both as a locum and also as a Pharmacy manager for Co-operative pharmacy, Superdrug pharmacy and a long term position with an independent pharmacy.
